Job summary

Atturra is seeking a Senior Active Directory/IDAM SME based in Belconnen, ACT. The role blends deep technical AD/IDAM expertise with client-focused delivery, supporting secure infrastructure across hybrid environments.

You'll lead engineering teams, collaborate with delivery and cyber security groups, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and security standards. This is a permanent full-time position with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Active Directory including multi-domain environments, GPO management, replication, and trusts.
• Experience in design and implementation of IDAM and RBAC/least-privilege access.
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, and admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership to engineers to drive successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time and on budget.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security teams to investigate, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and audit findings.
• Support security uplift initiatives, compliance programs, and risk reduction activities.
• Provision, modify, and decommission user accounts and access permissions in accordance with organisational policies.
• Develop and maintain RBAC and least-privilege access models.
• Support identity integrations with cloud and on-premises applications.
• Assist in other project work within the account as required.

What would you be doing?

We're on the hunt for a Senior Active Directory\\IDAM SME — combining deep technical expertise with outstanding customer support to design, deliver, and secure critical infrastructure. Based in Belconnen, ACT, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid work flexibility and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that matter.

As a key member of our delivery team, you'll take ownership of solutions that support complex, secure environments. Your work will be critical in ensuring we meet — and exceed — client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership to engineers to drive successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time and on budget
• Collaborate with Cyber Security teams to investigate, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and audit findings.

• Permanent full time
• Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance.

What will make you successful in this role?

• Deep expertise in Active Directory, including multi-domain environments, GPO management, replication, and trusts.
• Experience in design and implementation of IDAM and role based access.
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, and administrative tasks.
• Thorough understanding of security best practices across Active Directory, Windows and RHEL environments.
• Exposure to Azure, and both Windows and Linux environments
• Familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential Eight strategies
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Strong communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be working closely with both clients and internal teams
