Job summary

St John of God Geelong Hospital is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit through a six-month ISP program beginning February 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across cardiothoracic, general surgical, medical, orthopaedic and complex procedures in a supportive learning environment.

The role offers day and night shifts with 12-hour options for suitable candidates, and a pro‑rata salary of $85,480 to $107,881 plus 12% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct total patient care to patients.
• Maintains harmonious teamwork with staff, patients, relatives, doctors and ancillary staff.
• Assists and collaborates in assessment of allocated patients.
• Initiates discharge planning to ensure appropriate resource use and prepared families.
• Ensures infection management policies are followed.
