Job summary

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, is recruiting a Provisional Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine. You will work under specialist supervision to diagnose and manage critically ill patients and to advance toward CICM qualification.

The role involves CME/QA participation, teaching junior staff, and continuing professional development within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and the Medical Board of Australia registration
• CICM registration or eligible for CICM
• Completion of CICM foundation and core ICU training or equivalent
• 12 months of clinical anaesthesia completed
• Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice and teamwork
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
• Experience in teaching/training at undergraduate or postgraduate level
• Commitment to continuing self-education and development; eligible for on-call service

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision under intensivist guidance and assist in diagnosis and management of critically ill patients
• Develop advanced ICU skills aligned with CICM requirements
• Participate in CME/QA programs and supervise junior medical staff
• Engage in teaching and training activities for medical staff and trainees
