Job summary
BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada – Deer Park VIC is hiring a Facilities Shift Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of a major hyperscale data centre in Western Melbourne. You will work under the Facilities Site Lead to ensure critical electrical and mechanical systems operate safely in a 24/7 environment.
The role requires technical capability, composure under pressure, and a commitment to exceptional service within a collaborative team.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or related discipline.
- Experience in data centres, critical environments or facilities management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Support operation, maintenance, and reliability of mission-critical data centre infrastructure.
- Carry out facility rounds, inspections, testing, and monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance work.
- Develop and review operating procedures and maintenance plans.
- Utilise BMS/CMMS/DCIM to monitor performance and identify improvements.
