Qualifications

• Previous writing and newsroom experience preferred.
• Experience in courts coverage and local/state government desirable.
• Strong interviewing skills and natural curiosity to uncover impactful stories.
• SEO and social media experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop stories for local and wider NSW communities.
• Produce engaging, accurate copy for digital publication.
• Develop stories from concept to digital publication.
• Drive subscription growth and increase traffic to the website.
• Lead digital content through high-quality storytelling across platforms.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and tailor stories that inform and engage the community.
• Build connections with local businesses, sports teams, political leaders, families and citizens.
• Harness interactive, video and graphics storytelling tools.
