Infosys in Sydney is seeking an Infrastructure Associate to deliver Windows and VMware support across enterprise environments.

You will administer VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, and automation with PowerShell/PowerCLI, while contributing to patching, monitoring, and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Extensive VMware vSphere and vCenter administration experience.
• Windows Server deployment, maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Active Directory deployment, DNS/DHCP, GPO, ADFS administration.
• Scripting proficiency with PowerShell and PowerCLI.
• Experience with patching and vulnerability management (SCCM/MECM, BigFix, KACE).
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows, VMware, storage and networking.
• Knowledge of Dynatrace monitoring and incident analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware ESXi hosts, clusters, storage, and networking components.
• Manage Windows Server environments and AD services.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows, AD, and VMware issues in production.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell/PowerCLI to improve efficiency.

Role Description: Looking for Infrastructure Associate - Windows and VMWare Support

Location: Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD 108,571– 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong hands-on experience in administering and managing VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, vROps, vSphere Lifecycle Manager (Update Manager), VMware Horizon/View, NSX, and vCloud Director.
• Extensive experience in Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Advanced administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory Services, including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), ADFS, and Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware infrastructure issues in enterprise production environments.
• Experience in VMware ESXi host administration, cluster management, HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, snapshots, templates, and VM provisioning activities.
• Good knowledge of patch and vulnerability management, with hands‑on experience in SCCM/MECM, BigFix, KACE, and Windows patching technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, VMware infrastructure, Active Directory, storage, and networking components.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and scripting/automation for infrastructure administration and operational efficiency.
• Good understanding of virtualization, compute, network, and storage architecture within VMware environments.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace for performance monitoring, alert management, and root cause analysis.

Knowledge of administering enterprise server hardware platforms including HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco UCS, and IBM/Lenovo System X infrastructure.

Experience with security hardening, vulnerability remediation, certificate management, and compliance activities for Windows and VMware platforms.

• Experience with VMware infrastructure upgrades, ESXi lifecycle management, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Good understanding of SAN/NAS storage technologies, datastore management, storage provisioning, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience working with enterprise backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik, or Dell PPDM.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks.
• Understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, TCP/IP, Load Balancing, Firewall policies, and DNS architecture.

Preferred:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Windows Server and VMware infrastructure environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of P1/P2 incidents involving Windows, Active Directory, VMware, and infrastructure services.
• Manage VMware infrastructure including vCenter, ESXi hosts, clusters, virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
• Administer and support Active Directory services, including user authentication, GPO management, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and certificate services.
• Execute operating system patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities in accordance with organizational standards.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and PowerCLI to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Perform infrastructure health checks, capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive measures to eliminate recurring issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Work closely with storage, network, security, cloud, and application teams to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Participate in change, release, incident, and problem management processes following ITIL best practices.

Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical guidance for complex operational issues.
