Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to translate complex business needs into practical technology solutions. You will work across applications, integrations, cloud, infrastructure and security within the ICT Solution Architecture team, shaping solutions that support teaching, research and strategic priorities.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust designs, provide technical leadership, and contribute to design

Qualifications

Proven experience developing and documenting high-level and detailed solution designs.
Strong understanding of applications, integration, technology stacks and cloud environments.
Understanding of non-functional requirements and security considerations.
Good communication across business and technical teams.
Experience in complex ICT projects with competing priorities.
Experience in both agile and waterfall delivery environments; postgraduate qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop high-level and detailed solution designs for ICT and business initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine appropriate solution options from requirements.
Design and document how applications, integrations and components work together.
Work with application, infrastructure, cloud, security teams throughout delivery.
Prepare designs for governance review and communicate risks and decisions.
Provide technical leadership to delivery teams and contribute to design standards.
