Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria, Australia seeks an experienced Solution Architect to design secure, scalable technology solutions that support volunteers and CFA operations. You’ll lead architecture across applications, cloud, SAP, data, and identity services, working with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams to ensure secure by design outcomes.

You will translate business needs into practical designs, oversee architecture governance and ensure alignment with CFA’s technology

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, together with extensive experience in solution architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions across application, integration, data and technology with architecture documentation.
• Knowledge of modern architecture methods and patterns including API-led design, cloud/hybrid design, and secure-by-design principles.
• Experience guiding business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into viable architectural outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and assurance of technology solutions for major CFA projects and initiatives.
• Provide architecture guidance across applications, cloud, SAP, data, integration and identity management.
• Conduct design reviews, manage technical risks and ensure security and data governance compliance.
• Promote architecture standards and reuse, and contribute to roadmaps.
