Job summary

Squiz is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve quality standards across the Squiz DXP. The role involves hands-on testing, both manual and automated, and collaboration with engineering, product, and QA peers to ensure robust releases.

You will develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright, and contribute to test strategy, documentation, and continuous improvement within an Agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Quality with hands-on testing (manual & automated).
• Experience identifying, investigating and reporting bugs and validating fixes before release.
• Practical experience with test automation including UI and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Help build out and maintain test automation suites including E2E and UI testing frameworks.
• Write effective test cases and perform manual testing for new features and major changes.
• Identify, investigate, and report bugs to engineering teams.
• Reproduce issues with engineers, communicate defects clearly and validate bug fixes before release.
• Assist engineering teams with validation and testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Use GitLab as part of the development, testing and delivery workflow.
• Provide guidance to Junior Quality Engineers and assist Senior Quality Engineers with quality initiatives.
