Job summary
MS Plus is seeking an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to join our Specialist Employment Support Service in a full-time role. You will support people diagnosed with MS to stay in work through holistic, functional and vocational assessments.
New grads are welcome. There are no billable hours and this is not an NDIS role. You will receive induction, supervision and belong to a large team of allied health professionals, with hybrid work (2 days WFH).
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy with AHPRA registration.
- Alternative: Exercise Physiologist with ESSA membership.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Experience in community settings or disability employment is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of clients with holistic, functional, physical, cognitive and vocational assessments.
- Identify barriers and provide individualized strategies to help MS patients maintain employment.
- Support whole-of-life factors affecting employment.
- Recommend and organise workplace modifications, equipment and strategies.
- Educate employers and co-workers.
