Job summary

Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Sydney seeks a permanent, full-time Junior Legal Assistant to join our Public Liability team. You will report to a Lawyer and support the team with file management, client care, and administration to help drive successful outcomes.

The role suits someone with empathy, strong communication, and a proactive approach who can work both autonomously and within a team in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in legal support or business administration desired
• Excellent written and drafting skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• High attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team

Responsibilities

• Providing a great level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner
• Building strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting the team with general file management and administration
• Coordinating appointments for lawyers, medico-legal appointments, conferences and mediations
• Communicating with clients, insurers and other professionals both in writing and verbally
• Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents
• Preparing matters for conferences and hearings
