Job summary

Allume Energy, a Melbourne-based technology company focused on unlocking solar access, is seeking a capable Full Stack Software Engineer to build and ship features across our customer-facing applications and APIs that manage our IoT fleet and deliver real-time energy insights.

You will own features end-to-end across NestJS backends and Vue.js frontends, clarifying requirements, making architectural decisions, writing well-tested code, and releasing work with a high degree of independence.

Qualifications

Professional software engineering experience with full stack delivery.
Experience delivering features in Node.js / NestJS and Vue.js.
Experience with RESTful APIs.
Experience with SQL databases and schema design.
Experience with automated testing using Jest and Cypress.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain back-end services and Vue.js frontend features end-to-end.
Own the delivery of features: estimate work, communicate progress and dependencies, surface trade-offs and release.
Make sound architectural decisions within the team’s architecture; provide clear recommendations.
Write automated unit and relevant integration/UI tests.
Participate in design discussions and code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Proactively identify bugs and reliability gaps and propose fixes.
Use AI developer tooling productively with appropriate review and testing.
Collaborate across firmware, electronics, product and commercial as needed.
Participate in the team’s on-call roster with clear runbooks and backup support.
