Job summary

Randstad is helping a VIC government agency in Burwood East find a Finance Business Partner on a temporary contract until 12 February 2027 with possible extensions. The role offers hybrid working flexibility and pays between $60-70 per hour plus super.

You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision support within Corporate Finance. The ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in accounting/finance and strong SAP Analytics experience, with capabilities in governance,

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, finance or similar is highly regarded.
Strong business analysis and modelling skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
Proven knowledge and experience with SAP Analytics system.

Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting: develop and monitor budgets, forward estimates and projections.
Analysis & Decision Support: provide variance reporting and financial insights for business cases.
Governance, Compliance & Journals: ensure policy adherence, post journals and reconcile accounts.
Asset & Transaction Oversight: process daily transactions and track asset acquisitions/disposals.
Period-End Operations: coordinate month-end and year-end close routines.
Incident & Emergency Finance: support IMT Finance during Fire Danger Period.
Capability Building & Training: upskill budget holders in finance and CFA systems.
Continuous Improvement & Brigade Support: improve processes and assist with GST reporting.
