Job summary

Canon Business Services in Adelaide is seeking an Data and Analytics Support Consultant to maintain data, analytics and BI solutions across SQL Server, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments. You will resolve incidents, improve platform performance and deliver reliable reporting; one site visit per week to the Adelaide customer.

You will contribute to testing, deployment and documentation while collaborating with stakeholders and service teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics, BI, or similar Microsoft technology environment.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including troubleshooting queries, stored procedures and data issues.
• Experience developing or supporting Power BI reports, data models, Power Query and DAX.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration and production support practices.
• Experience investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services or modern cloud-based analytics platforms will be highly regarded.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI Report Server, Azure DevOps or Git is advantageous.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications, or willingness to pursue certification, will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for data, analytics and business intelligence solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents, service requests and platform issues, including root cause analysis.
• Support SQL Server databases, T-SQL scripts, ETL processes and Microsoft BI technologies.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
• Assist with Microsoft Fabric technologies including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and semantic models.
• Participate in testing, change management, deployment and release activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and support runbooks.
• Collaborate with customers, service delivery teams and technical specialists to deliver excellent outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing analytics and reporting processes.
