Job summary

Assurant Reverse Logistics, part of Assurant's post-purchase and circular economy business in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Management Accountant/Business Partner on a 10-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role supports revenue, month-end, budgeting, forecasting and stakeholder partnering across ANZ operations.

You’ll work with finance and non-finance teams, dig into variances, and provide practical financial insights to guide business decisions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Experience in month-end, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Experience preparing journals, accruals, reconciliations and variance commentary.
• Understanding of revenue recognition, invoicing and receivables.
• Strong Excel skills, PivotTables, lookups and SUMIFS.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and deadline management.
• Confidence working with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Month-end activities: journals, accruals, reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
• Prepare monthly financial results, customer and brand reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage project revenue estimates, accruals, revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including workforce costs and other expenses.
• Monitor receivables and resolve overdue invoices and customer queries.
• Partner with internal teams and external retail stakeholders to translate financial information into insights.
• Support financial activities across Australia and New Zealand operations.
• Coordinate with shared-services and review outputs across locations/time zones.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
