Job summary

Green Light is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise data center and security infrastructure in Ringwood, Melbourne. You will own the Cisco ACI fabric architecture and Fortinet security estate, building and troubleshooting the environment with a focus on resilience and security.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable network services, mentor junior engineers, and drive migrations and upgrades

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Cisco ACI in production environments.
• Strong, hands-on expertise with the Fortinet firewall suite (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Deep understanding of BGP and OSPF, including troubleshooting in large-scale networks.
• Solid grasp of data center networking concepts (VXLAN, spine-leaf, L2/L3).
• Strong troubleshooting with packet capture, logs, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to document designs clearly and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Cisco ACI fabrics, including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, L3Outs, and multi-site or multi-pod architectures.
• Architect, deploy, and troubleshoot Fortinet security suite (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Design and manage routing using BGP and OSPF across data center, WAN, and perimeter environments.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs, standards, and runbooks; lead design reviews.
• Act as escalation point for complex network/security incidents; perform root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Plan migrations, upgrades, and changes with minimal service disruption.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements in performance, security, and automation.
• Mentor network engineers and collaborate with security, cloud, and application teams.
