Job summary

Safe Planet Pty Ltd is seeking a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice to join our Melbourne installation team. You will work hands-on with a licensed tradesman, gaining practical HVAC skills while completing full installations across ducted, split and VRF systems.

Learn from an experienced tradesperson with 40+ years on the tools and contribute to a growing in-house installation team. A strong opportunity to finish your apprenticeship and stay long-term.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual, keen to learn and grow within a hands-on apprenticeship.
• Team player with the ability to follow guidance from a licensed tradesman.
• Committed to clean, professional workmanship on installation sites.
• Driver’s licence preferred; White Card or willingness to obtain one.
• First-year apprentices with practical HVAC exposure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience across residential air-conditioning installations.
• Work on ducted reverse-cycle, split and VRF systems.
• Install indoor and outdoor units; ductwork, piping and fittings.
• Handle copper pipework and brazing; pressure testing and vacuuming.
• Assist with commissioning, testing and start-to-finish installations.
• Learn complete installation processes from start to finish.
