Job summary

Melbourne Girls Grammar School in Melbourne is seeking a fixed-term History teacher for Years 7–11, with the capacity to teach Geography in the Middle Years. The role runs Term 1 2027 to Term 4 2027, delivering engaging Humanities lessons and contributing to curriculum design within the Humanities Faculty.

You will employ diverse teaching strategies and digital tools to engage a wide range of learners, build respectful relationships with students and staff, and uphold MGGS's child-safety

Qualifications

• Hold current VIT registration.
• Strong understanding of Victorian curriculum requirements.
• Be skilled at student-centred teaching approaches.
• Experience delivering History to Years 7–11 and Geography in Middle Years is valued.
• Collaborate effectively with Humanities team to enhance learning.

Capacity to teach Middle Years Geography will be highly regarded.

Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Teaching graduates are encouraged to apply.
