Human Resources Officer - 2 year temporary full-time position

Working with the HR Coordinator who will mentor you through recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management and industrial relations.

  • You will be adaptable, ambitious and thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment whilst working in a collaborative and supportive team where variety and challenge is the norm.
  • You are looking for the opportunity to expand into Local Government and make use of your current qualifications and/or experience (Certificate IV in HR or similar qualification/ experience) and have a strong generalist HR background.
  • You think outside the box and are pro‑active and enjoy advising, assisting and coaching Managers and Supervisors.

This position is responsible for the coordination of human resources services including recruitment and selection and learning and development, performance management and industrial relations.

35 hour week, with an RDO every 4 weeks

You will have
  • Certificate IV in Human Resources or equivalent qualification and/or experience
  • Experience in a generalist Human Resources environment, with particular emphasis on recruitment and selection, performance management and learning and development
  • General knowledge of employment‑related legislation, industrial instruments and their application
  • Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Current Driver’s licence
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and activities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Well‑developed written and reporting skills
  • Strong and effective communicator with a diverse range of people

The salary range being offered for this full‑time position is $2,979 - $3,854 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $77,454 - $100,209 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
