Job summary

RSGx seeks an experienced HSEQ Governance, Risk and Assurance Manager to lead enterprise-level governance, risk, and compliance across multiple sites. Based in Sydney or Brisbane, you will drive OFSC-related readiness and the DISP program while steering a robust Integrated Management System.

You will coordinate ISO alignment with ISO9001/14001/45001, oversee audits, and report systemic risks to the GM HSEQ and leadership team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification, driver's licence, and solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
• Experience in HSEQ governance, risk, management systems or assurance.
• Experience coordinating certification or regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the HSEQ governance and assurance framework across the business.
• Coordinate policies, standards, procedures and plans; align with ISO9001/14001/45001.
• Maintain compliance with Australian Government WHS Accreditation Scheme; audit readiness and regulator engagement.
• Develop and continuously improve enterprise Critical Risk Management Program with controls and reporting.
• Lead DISP membership application and maintenance; conduct gap assessments and cross-functional implementation.
• Design and deliver a risk-based HSEQ audit and assurance program across projects and functions.
• Monitor corrective actions, verify closure, and report findings to leadership.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HSEQ Governance, Risk and Assurance Manager to lead our HSEQ governance, Integrated Management System, critical risk, assurance and compliance frameworks, based in either Sydney or Brisbane.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity for extension.

Reporting to the General Manager - HSEQ, you'll be the custodian of our Integrated HSEQ Management System, drive OFSC accreditation and DISP readiness, and lead our enterprise Critical Risk Management Program.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining the HSEQ governance and assurance framework, and coordinating policies, standards, procedures and plans across the business
• Maintaining alignment with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, and monitoring applicable legislative, contractual and internal requirements
• Leading ongoing compliance with the Australian Government WHS Accreditation Scheme, including audit readiness, submissions and regulator engagement
• Developing and continuously improving the enterprise Critical Risk Management Program, including critical controls, verification methodologies and systemic risk reporting
• Leading the organisation's DISP membership application and maintenance, including gap assessments, cross-functional implementation and Defence engagement
• Developing and delivering a risk-based HSEQ audit and assurance program across projects, operations and corporate functions
• Monitoring corrective actions, verifying effective closure, and reporting systemic findings and trends to the GM HSEQ and Executive Leadership Team

About you

You have significant experience in HSEQ governance, risk, management systems or assurance, ideally in construction, infrastructure, energy or utilities. You've managed integrated systems aligned with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, delivered risk-based audit and critical-control programs, and coordinated certification or regulatory audits. A relevant tertiary qualification, a current driver's licence, and solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation are essential.

You bring strong governance and analytical capability, translate complex requirements into practical controls, and communicate confidently at executive level. You're a skilled stakeholder manager who acts with integrity and isn't afraid to challenge constructively.

Experience with OFSC audits, a Lead Auditor qualification, or DISP membership experience will set you apart.
