Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced HSE Projects Manager to lead a four-to-five person HSE team and partner with Sodexo offices, operational leadership, clients, contracting partners and governing bodies to deliver Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality leadership across construction projects. Based in Perth with weekly travel to remote sites, mobility is required to support mobilisation activities.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE/HSEQ leadership experience in construction environments.
• Experience in EPCM projects and management of HSEQ on site.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and ISO standards.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in remote locations.
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive a strong safety culture and deliver behavioural safety programs.
• Ensure consistent application of HSEQ systems and compliance with WHS, ISO, client and Sodexo standards.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and critical control processes across high-risk activities.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the key HSEQ contact for clients, site leadership and service partners.
• Lead HSEQ requirements for new site mobilisations and support business growth.
• Deliver HSEQ training and ensure workforce competency and compliance.
• Monitor HSEQ performance, analyse trends, and provide leadership insights.
• Support emergency response planning and injury management programs.
