Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a skilled HSE Advisor to join our team. This role combines both Corporate and Operational responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse and hands‑on work environment. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and supporting HSE systems, processes, and procedures across multiple project sites. Working closely with site personnel, management, and key stakeholders, you will monitor and support all HSE functions to ensure the safe delivery of our contracts. The position requires regular travel to site locations, including scheduled visits and providing on‑site cover and support when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site safety systems, and project procedures.
  • Perform routine safety inspections, hazard observations, and risk assessments.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Undertake internal HSE audits and attend client HSE meetings.
  • Prepare, maintain, and communicate HSE reports, records, and project documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project‑specific HSE procedures and work instructions and internal communication tools.
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, inspectors, and other stakeholders to support HSE outcomes.
  • Build positive working relationships with project personnel to promote safety awareness.
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in Myosh (advanced configuration and workflow design experience highly regarded).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in incident investigation, corrective action development, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in developing HSE Management systems, including facilitation of internal HSE training.
  • Competence in HSE auditing, reporting, document control, and data analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders on safety matters.
What you will bring

  • Experience in high‑risk industries such as mining, civil construction, or transport is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to safety culture initiatives or continuous improvement programs is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with site teams, project managers, and senior leadership.
  • Highly organised and detail‑oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in data.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks.
