Job summary

Allied Forest Products in Sydney is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver / HIAB Crane Operator to join our growing team. You will deliver timber, engineered wood products and building materials to construction sites and customers across Sydney and surrounds.

The role requires an HR licence and experience with HIAB cranes, with a focus on safe loading, securing loads, and on-time deliveries. Immediate start and full-time employment available.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver Licence and proven HIAB operating experience.
• Crane licence or ticket where required.
• Knowledge of load restraint and safe transport practices.
• Good knowledge of Sydney roads and construction sites.
• Experience delivering timber or building materials is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate HR trucks fitted with HIAB/vehicle-loading cranes.
• Safely load, secure, transport and unload timber and building materials.
• Use the HIAB crane to unload materials on construction sites.
• Conduct daily vehicle and crane safety checks.
• Ensure loads are restrained and compliant before leaving the yard.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers, builders and site personnel.
• Maintain trucks and equipment in a clean, presentable condition.
• Follow WHS and site safety procedures and assist with yard duties as needed.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of timber, engineered wood products and building materials to construction sites and customers throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate HR trucks fitted with HIAB / vehicle-loading cranes

• Safely load, secure, transport and unload timber and building materials

• Use the HIAB crane to unload materials safely and accurately on construction sites

• Conduct daily vehicle and crane safety checks

• Ensure loads are correctly restrained and compliant before leaving the yard

• Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery

• Communicate professionally with customers, builders and site personnel

• Maintain trucks and equipment in a clean and presentable condition

• Follow Allied Forest Products' WHS and site safety procedures

• Assist with loading and general yard duties when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Current HR Driver Licence

• Proven experience operating a HIAB or similar vehicle-loading crane

• Relevant crane licence/ticket where required

• Good knowledge of Sydney roads and construction sites

• Experience delivering timber or building materials is highly regarded

• Strong understanding of load restraint and safe transport practices

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong commitment to workplace safety
