Job summary

Mabey Hire Pty Ltd is seeking a HR Driver/Yardhand for our Bundoora depot in Melbourne. This full-time role suits someone who values safety, reliability, and strong work ethic, with a focus on delivering and collecting equipment to job sites across the local area.

You will operate truck-mounted tasks, load/unload with a forklift, maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete pre-emptive inspections, and adhere to all policies and fatigue management requirements, contributing to a safe, efficient hire

Qualifications

• HR unrestricted licence with manual gearbox
• Crane licence and Hiab/Palfinger experience preferred
• Forklift licence preferred
• White Card (Site Safety)

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect equipment to/from customers' job sites, locally
• Load and unload equipment on/off trucks using a forklift
• Keep Mabey trucks clean and presentable
• Complete vehicle inspection forms twice weekly and report defects
• Comply with Mabey policies and fatigue management requirements
• Repair/maintain hire fleet to safe condition
• Clean and inspect equipment for next hire

Skills

HR licence (with manual gearbox)

Crane licence (preferred)

Hiab/Palfinger crane experience (pref)

Forklift licence (preferred)

Site Safety Card (White Card)

Own reliable transport to work

We are searching for a HR Driver/Yardhand for our BUNDOORA depot, someone who is looking for a long-term stable position, who is passionate about safety, and who has a strong work ethic, effective communication, and a willingness to go the extra mile for our clients.

This is a FULL-TIME role on offer, Monday to Friday, 38 hours guaranteed, with overtime opportunities, paid annual and personal leave, public holidays, and no rain days.

Transport

• Timely and efficientdelivery& collectionofequipmenttoandfrom customers’ job sites, predominantly localised
• Loading and unloading equipment on and off trucks by Forklift
• Keeping Mabey trucks clean and presentable
• Complete the vehicle inspection form twice weekly, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements to the manager immediately.
• Compliance with all Mabey policies and state and federal regulatory requirements with respect to conduct, compliance, logbooks, and/or fatigue management requirements.
• Repair and maintenance of hire fleet/equipment to a workable and safe condition.
• Cleaning and inspection of the hire fleet/equipment in preparation for the next hire.
• Painting of hire fleet/equipment.
• General housekeeping and maintenance of the Mabey facility, assets, tooling, and yard area as needed or requested.

Required skills

• HR unrestricted licence (with manualsynchrogearbox,advantageous)
• CV Crane Licence(Preferred but not essential)
• Experience using a Hiab/Palfinger-type vehicle-mounted crane(preferred but not essential)
• Forklift Licence(Preferred but not essential)
• Site Safety Card: white card(must have)
• Own reliable transportto work.

The hourly rate is dependent upon tickets and experience.

An immediate start is desirable after licence and pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing.
