Tribe Rural Logistics is seeking an HR Driver to join our Melbourne multi-pickup and drop operations. You will operate rigid trucks in metro Melbourne, handle secure deliveries and interact with customers, presenting a professional image at all times.

This full-time role follows a brief casual trial period. Expect early starts (4-5am), long door-to-door days, and a mix of Melbourne runs and local Albury/Wangaratta deliveries. Uniforms provided and new vehicles support performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive Melbourne-based multi-drop routes and local NE VIC deliveries.
• Perform 4-5am starts with long days and door-to-door times.
• Ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Maintain vehicle presentation and assist with loading/unloading where needed.

About the Role
Tribe Rural Logistics are a growing and expanding regional express bulk freight delivery business. We are expanding and heading into the busy season, we are seeking a driver to start with us on full time basis after a brief casual trial period.

All of our work consists of curtainsider 14 pallet industrial pickups and deliveries with multiple customers consolidated on the truck, both to and from Melbourne. There is always a mixture of fork on/off and tailgate work. You MUST be experienced driving in metro Melbourne and comfortable with the associated traffic and higher stress driving environment.

Your role will involve both runs to and from Melbourne, as well as days where you will only complete local deliveries around Albury, Wangaratta and surrounding areas. You must be willing and able to do both types of runs.

We head to Melbourne every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday our allocated local days doing deliveries around the Albury/Wangaratta area.

You must be available Saturday mornings to work.

Your days will look like:
-> 4-5am start (typically 14 hour days door to door)
-> Deliveries down to Melbourne, pickups across Melbourne covering both east and west suburbs on most days. Mix of timeslot deliveries, tailgate on/off and mixed loads to get onto your truck.
->Return
->The next day, deliveries locally around Albury, Wangaratta, ect. Approx 6-10 hour days.
->Repeat

The successful candidate must possess all of the below (non-negotiable)

HR License and strong experience driving rigid vehicles, comfortable with metropolitan Melbourne

Terrific presentation, friendly demeanour and customer service ability (you are the face of our business)

Strong sense of urgency. You must be able to work quickly and minimise the time taken at each stop within reason.

Strong problem solving ability, able to work autonomously without constant direction.

Good initiative, ability to look ahead at the days pickups and drops and make a plan, taking into account the different types of freight, delivery deadlines and weights of freight to stay within regulated limits.

Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines/timeslots ect.
