The Midfield Group is seeking an HR Driver to join our transport team in Warrnambool, Victoria. You will operate Heavy Rigid vehicles, handle livestock, and contribute to safe, efficient local transport.

Qualificações

• Current HR Driver Licence.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Willingness to learn animal handling and fatigue management.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles for local livestock transport.
• Load, unload and handle livestock respecting welfare standards.
• Assist yard operations and movement of livestock.
• Perform pre-start checks and report faults.

We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate.

We are currently seeking HR Driver to join our transport team in Warrnambool, Victoria.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles for local livestock transport in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load, unload, and handle livestock in accordance with animal welfare standards and company procedures.
• Assist with yard operations, including livestock movement and preparation for transport.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow designated routes, schedules, and operational instructions.
• Comply with all road safety regulations, fatigue management requirements, and company policies.
• Participate in structured training, mentoring, and competency assessments.
• Progress through the development pathway from HR to HC/B-Double and eventually B-Triple operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transport activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement within the transport team.

Skills & Experiences

• Current HR Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated safe driving record and strong awareness of road safety practices.
• Ability to handle livestock or willingness to learn animal handling techniques.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and commit to a structured career progression pathway.
• Good understanding of or ability to learn fatigue management and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills with supervisors and team members.
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks related to loading/unloading livestock.
