Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management in Newman WA seeks a permanent Driver/Operator to manage daily collection routes and vehicle upkeep. You will perform pre-starts, conduct maintenance checks, and ensure safe loading, unloading, and presentation of equipment. Client interaction and a strong customer-service ethic are essential.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted HC/MC licence, with forklift FP preferred; a clean driving record and safety focus are required. Overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted HC/MC licence is mandatory.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Impeccable driving record and safety focus required.
• Experience in the waste industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of company collection vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles.
• Interact with clients and safely load/unload trucks.
• Maintain vehicle presentation inside and out.
• Support high levels of customer satisfaction and safety.

The Opportunity

• Operation of company collection vehicles and equipment
• Daily pre-starts and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
• Client interaction and safe loading and unloading of truck
• Maintaining the presentation of the vehicle, inside and out
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

About You

• Able and willing to operate a variety of trucks
• An unrestricted HC/MC license
• Experience in the waste industry would be fantastic
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential
• Clean driving record
• A professional presentation and manner with a strong customer service ethic
• A strong commitment to safety; and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Have a great attitude and want to be part of a great team environment
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
