Qualifications

• Current HR Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year HR driving experience.
• Experience driving manual transmission HR vehicles preferred.
• Previous freight transport experience.
• ASIC and/or MSIC card preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Immediate or short-notice availability highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently complete pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Melbourne metropolitan and surrounding regional areas.
• Pick up from and deliver to warehouses, airport terminals and wharf ports.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections.
• Comply with WHS policies, road transport regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and professional presentation of both the vehicle and yourself.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators and customers.
• Complete timesheets and related paperwork accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working as part of a team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current HR Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of HR driving experience.
• Experience driving manual transmission HR vehicles is preferred.
• Previous freight transport experience.
• Container transport experience (preferred).
• ASIC and/or MSIC card (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
• Good knowledge of the Sydney metropolitan area.
• Strong understanding of load restraint, fatigue management and speed management.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive team attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to commence immediately or on short notice is highly regarded.
