Job summary

Healthdirect Australia seeks an experienced HR and People Operations Manager to lead a multidisciplinary P&C team and unify service delivery across HR. You will own Dayforce deployment, analytics, and governance, partnering with senior leaders to align workforce programs with strategy.

You will drive enterprise people programs, oversee recruitment operations, and shape a self-service first model while ensuring psychosocial safety and compliance across the function.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary team across people operations, talent acquisition or business partnering.
• Experience with Dayforce or similar HCM platforms, including configuration and reporting.
• Strong workforce analytics experience and governance of AI and data.
• Designing enterprise people programs such as performance management and remuneration.
• Solid knowledge of Fair Work Act and WHS obligations.

• Set the strategic direction for HR technology, analytics and AI tooling.
• Lead and coach a multidisciplinary P&C team and build capability in responsible AI use.

About the opportunity

As HR and People Operations Manager, you will shape how People and Culture services are delivered across Healthdirect. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning business partnering, talent acquisition and people systems. You will bring these capabilities together as one integrated function while consolidating our systems, and service model.

About You

You are a commercially minded senior HR leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You build capable teams, exercise sound judgement and turn complex workforce challenges into practical solutions. Confident partnering with senior leaders across the organisation, you set the direction for how people systems, workforce data and AI are used across the function, with sound judgement on governance and responsible adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• HR technology, AI and analytics: Set the direction for Dayforce and the broader people systems roadmap. Optimise the use of reporting, automation and AI tools to reduce manual effort, strengthen workforce insights supporting leaders to make informed decisions.
• Enterprise people programs: Design and deliver performance management, remuneration and other organisation-wide programs that are practical, contemporary and aligned with Healthdirect’s strategy.
• Service delivery: Build a consistent, self-service-first service model with clear standards and escalation pathways. Use Jira insights, streamlined workflows and accessible guidance to improve responsiveness, quality and employee experience.
• Employee relations and WHS oversight: Guide complex matters, ensure sound escalation and procedural fairness, maintain compliant policies and embed psychosocial safety obligations.
• Recruitment operations: Set the strategic direction for recruitment, overseeing systems, reporting and vendor performance.
• People leadership: Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary P&C team, creating clear accountability, sustainable workloads and strong collaboration. Build capability in the responsible use of AI, and workforce analytics.

What you'll bring to the role

• Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary team across people operations, talent acquisition or business partnering
• Experience in the implementation or administration of a human capital management platform such as Dayforce, including configuration, workflows, integrations and reporting
• Demonstrated capability in workforce analytics and reporting, together with experience or a passion for applying AI and workflow automation to improve processes with sound judgement on privacy, data governance and human oversight
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise people programs, including performance management and remuneration
• Strong applied knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, applicable WHS legislation including psychosocial safety obligations, anti-discrimination legislation, employee relations risk and procedural fairness
• Remuneration experience is highly regarded but not essential
