Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for HR professionals and workplace relations practitioners looking to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment while managing a diverse range of employee relations matters.

  • 6-Month Non-Ongoing Contract
  • Salary: $73,052 - $99,795 + 15.4% Superannuation
  • Security Requirements: Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance and hold a clear National Police Check
About the Role

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide advice and support across a range of people management and workplace relations functions. You will manage sensitive and complex employment matters while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice principles. The successful candidate will contribute to positive workplace outcomes by delivering high-quality advice, case management support, and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on employment frameworks, workplace policies, and people management matters.
  • Manage end-to-end employee relations and case management processes, including performance management, conduct matters, workplace concerns, and rehabilitation support.
  • Ensure procedural fairness and compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives and the development of workplace practices and processes.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders and provide high-quality support across a range of workforce matters.
  • Assist in the delivery of projects and initiatives that support organisational priorities.
  • Support a positive workplace culture, with a focus on employee wellbeing and workplace health and safety.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in employee relations, human resources, workplace relations, investigations, case management, or a related discipline.
  • You have to be comfortable researching information, reviewing policies and interpreting Enterprise Agreement provisions
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of, Commonwealth employment frameworks and public sector HR practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Qualifications or professional experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded
