Job summary

TriCare, one of Queensland's largest retirement operators, is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Team Member/Outdoor Cleaner for James Ommaney Retirement Community in Brisbane. This permanent part-time role offers 32.5 hours per fortnight, with an alternating weekly schedule.

You will clean indoor common areas, outdoor spaces and vacant units, support a welcoming environment for residents, and contribute to a tidy, hygienic village.

Qualifications

• Cleaning and service industry experience.
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety / safe work practices.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work co-operatively within a team environment.
• An eye for detail and friendly customer service for interactions with residents.
• Police Clearance Certificate required and willing to undertake pre-employment functionality assessment.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas indoors and outdoors to present the village in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition.
• Clean vacant Apartments/Units ready for resale.
• Carry out professional cleaning services to ensure facilities are immaculate, focusing on indoor common areas.

About the role

Responsible for effectively and efficiently undertaking cleaning tasks in order to present the village in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition. Responsibilities to include common areas indoors and outdoors and vacant Apartments/Units ready for resale.

This is a permanent part-time role for 32.5 hours per fortnight.

Workdays: Alternate weeks:

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Week 2 - Thursday & Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm

You will be responsible for carrying out professional cleaning services to ensure our retirement community facilities are always immaculate. The areas for cleaning will mostly be confined to our indoor common areas.

Requirements for the role:

• Cleaning and service industry experience
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety / safe work practices
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work co-operatively within a team environment
• An eye for detail Excellent and friendly customer service for interactions with residents
• First Aid/CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain upon appointment).

A satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate is required as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and be willing to undertake a pre-employment functionality assessment in alignment with the role’s physical demands.
