Job summary

Oaks Townsville Gateway Suites is expanding its housekeeping team with multiple casual opportunities. We’re looking for dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and thrive in a team environment.

Join a Townsville property with rotating shifts starting between 8:00am and 9:00am, including weekends on ad hoc basis. Duties include cleaning guest rooms, making beds, vacuuming and bathrooms, with training provided and a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, andcleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details(subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Friday.
• Saturday & Sundays shifts are available on ad hoc basis.
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am.
• Additional shifts may also be available as a Houseperson, as required.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.60 per hour
Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
