Job summary

Infinite Aged Care seeks a motivated hospitality/kitchen assistant to join its fast-paced commercial kitchen team in Edge Hill. You will help with food prep, plating, and meal service while supporting dietary needs and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Ideal candidates have hospitality or kitchen experience or are pursuing Commercial Cookery studies. You’ll work in a busy environment with a supportive team and structured induction, with hours across Monday, Tuesday and Sunday shifts.

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Students planning Commercial Cookery studies welcome.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Reliable, adaptable team players available for shifts.

• Support dietary needs, including texture-modified and allergen-aware meals.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen and dining cleanliness.
• Set up and reset dining rooms and equipment for each service.
• Follow food safety and WHS procedures.
• Work as part of a supportive, fast-moving team.
• Hours: Monday 10:30am-5:30pm, Tuesday 10:30am-5:30pm, Sunday 10:30am-5:30pm

This role is a physical & fast paced with a lot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You

• Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience (or a strong interest in developing these skills).
• Students completing or planning Commercial Cookery studies who want to build practical, hands‑on skills that directly support your training.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail skills.
• Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment and have the availability to support a variety of shifts.

NOT suitable for candidates studying personal care or nursing, as training and development focus exclusively on commercial cookery and kitchen operations.
