Job summary

EVT Limited is seeking a hands-on Maintenance/Handyperson to perform routine repairs and painting across hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas. You will coordinate with the maintenance team, follow safety procedures, and adapt to rotating shifts including weekends to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a painter or handyperson in general maintenance or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills and a guest-focused approach to service.
• Familiarity with basic repair techniques across carpentry and plumbing (advantageous).
• Ability to follow safety procedures and WH&S guidelines.
• Physically fit and able to respond quickly to requests across the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance across hotel facilities and guest areas.
• Perform touch-ups and repainting work in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, minimizing guest disruption.
• Maintain and repair wall finishes, plastering and drywall patching in line with trade qualifications and maintenance systems.
• Inspect hotel areas, respond to defects and requests, coordinate with tradespersons or management as needed.
• Coordinate work schedules using the Work Request System or Preventative Maintenance Program, complete opening/closing duties.
