Job summary

Novotel is seeking an experienced Hotel Finance Accountant in Western Australia to lead the full accounting function, including GL, journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations. You will manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations and cash flow, while handling payroll-related entries and compliance lodgments.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years of accounting experience, and strong knowledge of Australian standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
CPA/CA qualification preferred or in progress.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, BAS, payroll tax and compliance.
Strong Excel and accounting systems experience (Sun, PurchasePlus, Opera).

Responsibilities

Manage full accounting function including GL maintenance, journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and receivable activities.
Prepare weekly/monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Process payroll-related accounting entries and compliance lodgments (BAS, payroll tax, FBT).
Prepare monthly income statement, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Coordinate month-end/year-end close and support audits; maintain internal controls.
