Job summary

Marriott Executive Apartments in Melbourne seeks an experienced Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead all engineering/maintenance operations for the property. You will manage the building, grounds and physical plant, ensuring standards and regulatory requirements are met.

The role requires 3+ years in engineering/maintenance, 1+ year in team leadership, and experience in hotel environments. Strong supervision and cost control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area.
• Minimum of 1 year managing a team.
• Experience working in a hotel, or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Engineering Operations: develops project plans for renovations or new construction and implements preventative maintenance and asset protection plans.
• Maintains property standards including heat, light and power and life safety systems.
• Manages and communicates with Engineering teams to achieve departmental goals and service excellence.
• Oversees profitability and coordinates with asset managers on capital improvements and external stakeholders.
• Ensures exceptional guest service by supervising engineering staff and deploying standard operating procedures.
• Conducts HR activities: hiring, communication, and staff development within engineering operations.
