Job summary

Bupa Kempsey in the Mid North Coast of NSW is seeking a friendly hospitality assistant to support the care home with catering, cleaning and laundry. You will help provide residents with meals, maintain hygiene standards and assist with daily housekeeping in a warm, person-centred environment.

Experience in catering or cleaning is preferred but not essential. A team-focused, empathetic approach and flexible shifts across the week are valued, with opportunities to contribute to residents' comfort

• Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
• Complete required documentation and reporting
• Respond to residents’ queries and requests
• Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen
• Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing
• Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collectionin the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

About the Home

Bupa Kempsey is a modern care home located in the Mid North Coast region of NSW. It is situated in the historic Macleay Valley known for its cedar timber industry, the home of Slim Dusty and the iconic Akubra hat factory. It consists of 82 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry

Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.
