Job summary

BreakFree Hotels, Resorts and Apartments – Broadbeach QLD is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to be the master of all trades, addressing maintenance, repair, painting and improvements to keep the property in impeccable condition. You will spot issues early and address them using your handy tools.

You will maintain rooms, amenities and communal spaces, collaborating with the team, and taking on preventative maintenance tasks as needed. Weekend and public holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Physical role with a proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance.
• Experience in general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing or electrical.
• Strong problem solving and communication with all levels.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all rooms, amenities and communal spaces in excellent condition.
• Collaborate with a diverse team and work independently.
• Tackle challenging maintenance tasks with innovative solutions.
• Perform maintenance tasks and preventative projects as required.
