Job summary

Varsity is expanding and seeks an experienced Learning & Development Manager to design, deliver and lead onboarding and leadership programs across multiple venues in Victoria and WA. The role involves collaborating with Operations and People & Culture, developing training systems, and building future leaders while spending 6–8 weeks in WA before relocating to Melbourne.

You will drive engaging learning experiences, support culture, performance, and retention, and travel between venues to embed

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, Learning & Development, Training or Operations leadership.
• Ability to design and facilitate engaging training programs.
• Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery in venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve Varsity's Learning & Development across multiple venues.
• Design and deliver onboarding programs for team members and leaders.
• Develop engaging training content and resources.
• Facilitate leadership development and Train the Trainer programs.
• Support venue openings with structured training and readiness.
• Coach venue leaders to build capability and performance.
• Drive training compliance and consistency across venues.
• Identify development opportunities and succession paths with Operations.
• Manage learning systems, reporting and processes.
• Deliver workshops and leadership sessions.
• Travel between venues to support teams and embed learning outcomes.
