Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group in Warragul, VIC, invites applications for a Social Worker (Grade 1-2). This permanent full-time role offers up to 80 hours per fortnight and will operate across wards within the hospital site.

The successful candidate will hold a Social Work degree, be eligible for Australian Association of Social Workers membership, and demonstrate advanced Microsoft Office skills, strong confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Experience in hospital or acute settings and knowledge of rural issues is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services across wards at the hospital site.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain confidentiality and support patients and families.
