Job summary

Ceduna Hospital, part of Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, is hiring a Kitchen Hand on a continuing part-time basis. You will assist with meal preparation, service and delivery to patients, residents and staff, contributing to safe, clean and welcoming meals environment.

You may also support laundry and housekeeping, work across shifts on a 24 hours per week roster over 7 days, and benefit from job security, flexible hours and a community-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive workplace.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to work across kitchen, laundry and housekeeping as needed.
• Good communication skills and friendly service to people from all backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn, follow clear instructions and maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, plating, service and delivery of meals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support safe and effective kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, handling stock and using equipment correctly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the health unit.
• Participate in training and follow food safety, infection control and workplace health and safety standards.
