Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District are seeking a motivated Electrician to provide on-site electrical work for Royal North Shore Hospital. This is a Permanent Full Time position involving shift work.

The role covers breakdown rectification, planned preventative works, and installation, renovation and maintenance of hospital electrical systems, in line with HOST policies and NSW safety rules. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Holds relevant Electrical trade qualification and 360 hours of approved courses and a current Occupational Health and Safety General Induction For Construction in NSW Certificate or willingness to obtain within three months of appointment.
• Experience in operating and maintaining Diesel powered generators.
• Extensive experience in domestic, commercial/industrial electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown rectification and planned preventative works to deliver and maintain hospital electrical services.
• Perform installation, renovation and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment per HOST Hard FM standards.
• Assist other staff to complete tasks and ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
