Job summary

ESPH Pharmacy at East Sydney Private Hospital in Woolloomooloo, Sydney is seeking a motivated Dispensary Technician or Intern Pharmacist to join our hospital team in a full-time role.

You will dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, prepare medications for day surgery and support discharge medication services, while working closely with hospital clinicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• Dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing and processing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
• Preparing medications for day surgery and overnight hospital patients
• Assisting with pre-operative and post-operative medication requirements
• Supporting patient discharge medication services
• Processing medication orders and maintaining accurate patient records
• Managing dispensary stock, ordering, receiving and stock rotation
• Liaising with pharmacists, nurses, hospital staff and other healthcare professionals
• Maintaining a highly organised, accurate and efficient dispensary
• Providing professional and friendly service to patients
