Job summary

Shellharbour City Council offers an exciting trainee opportunity at the Oak Flats Services Depot to gain hands-on experience in horticulture, parks and reserve maintenance, and landscape presentation. You will work with experienced professionals while completing a nationally recognised qualification through Yallah TAFE.

The program runs as a Temporary full-time role for up to 24 months, with on-the-job training and the chance to obtain a Certificate III in Horticulture.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognised qualification completed through Yallah TAFE.
• Hands-on experience in horticulture, parks and landscape maintenance.
• Learning safe operation of horticultural equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining parks, reserves and streetscapes.
• Learn and apply safety practices for horticultural work.
• Support team with practical landscape presentation tasks.
