Job summary

BlueCare in Toowoomba is seeking a Home Services Officer to join the onsite hospitality team, delivering dining, cleaning and laundry services with a resident-centred approach.

You will support meal service, dining areas, cleaning, laundry and daily operations while upholding hygiene and safety standards in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning or food services.
• Ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to hygiene and safety standards; willingness to learn food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals meet dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during meals.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, maintaining resident rooms and shared areas.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner to create a positive experience.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks.
• Support daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.

As aHome Services Officer, you will play a vital role in shaping each resident's daily experience of comfort, dignity and wellbeing. You will be part of the onsite hospitality team delivering high-quality dining, cleaning and laundry services within a safe, welcoming and person-centred environment.

You will be organised, motivated and take pride in delivering excellent service, supporting residents with the following:

• Assist withmeal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements
• Set up and maintainclean, welcoming dining areasand support residents during mealtimes
• Performcleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen
• Engage with residents in awarm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience
• Deliver ahigh standard of hygiene and safetyacross all tasks
• Support the team withdaily operationsto ensure smooth service delivery

Role requirements:

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services or similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
