Job summary

BlueCare in Bundaberg is seeking a Home Services Officer to join the on-site hospitality team at the Bundaberg Pioneer Aged Care Facility. The role focuses on delivering high-quality dining, cleaning and laundry services in a safe, person-centred environment, supporting residents with meals, comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning, or food services.
• Ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to satisfy probity checks as required by policy or legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals meet dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and assist residents during mealtimes.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties and care for resident rooms and linen.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner to create a positive experience.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across tasks.
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
