Job summary

Uniting AgeWell in Tasmania is seeking Home Care Workers to support older clients in George Town and surrounding areas. You will provide direct care, domestic assistance and social support, with transport as needed, while respecting clients’ rights and preferences.

These roles require a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support (or studying Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing), current First Aid/CPR, and a valid Tasmanian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Current Victorian/Tasmanian Driver's Licence.
• Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable.
• Knowledge of client directed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and domestic assistance, plus social support and transport.
• Support clients in George Town and surrounding communities.
• Ensure clients' rights and individual needs are respected.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and escalate observations as needed.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients and families.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues.
