Job summary

Olivet Care is seeking compassionate Home Care Workers to join our community care team. This hands-on role provides domestic assistance, personal care, transport, and social support under a Client Directed Care (CDC) model.

You will help clients maintain independence, follow care plans, and participate in community activities. Flexible casual hours, training, and meaningful community impact are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or higher is essential for Personal Care roles.
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate is required.
• Driver’s licence and a registered, insured vehicle are preferred.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assist with light household duties (laundry, ironing, bed linen, cleaning).
• Meal preparation and basic cooking.
• Grocery shopping and bill payment assistance.

The Role
We’re seeking compassionate, committedHome Care Workersto join our community care team. This is a hands‑on role supporting clients withdomestic assistance, personal care, transport, and social supportunder aClient Directed Care (CDC)model.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with light household duties (laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, cleaning)
• Meal preparation and basic cooking
• Grocery shopping and bill payment assistance
• Accompanied and unaccompanied transport to appointments
• Support participation in community, social and recreational activities
• Monitor and report on client health, wellbeing, and environment
• Support with showering, dressing, grooming, and continence
• Supervise and assist with medication
• Provide respite care and support clients’ independence
• Encourage client involvement in their own care
• Maintain WHS standards and use PPE as required
• Report hazards and incidents promptly
• Attend mandatory training (e.g., manual handling)

Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, or higher (for Personal Care roles)
Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
Driver’s licence + registered, insured vehicle
Smartphone (Apple or Android)
National Police Check / NDIS Worker Screening
Up-to-date COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations
Right to work in Australia

Desirable
Certificate IV in Disability or higher
CPR certification
Experience in aged care or disability support
Skills in domestic and social care support
