Job summary

Uniting AgeWell Limited is seeking Home Care Workers to assist clients in George Town and surrounding communities. You will deliver direct care, domestic support, and social interaction, with transport as needed.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding service and uphold client rights and individual needs. Applicants should have Certificate III/IV in Aged Care (or be pursuing relevant nursing qualifications), current First Aid/CPR, and a valid Victorian/Tasmanian

Qualifications

• Requires Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, or currently studying Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Current Victorian/Tasmanian Driver's Licence
• Experience in home care or domestic support is desirable

About the role:

Home Care Workers provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients.

These roles will see you supporting clients in George Town and surrounding communities. You will:

• Ensure that client’s rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
• Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and elevate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
• Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
• Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
• Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian/Tasmanian driver's licence

• Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent (or currently studying a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates

• Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable
• Knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families
• Understanding of client directed care
