Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking a dedicated in‑home care worker to support older Australians in Inner East and Outer East Melbourne. You will provide personal care, mobility support and domestic tasks, with travel between client homes.

The role offers permanent part-time contracts (30–50 hours per fortnight), paid induction, and opportunities to upskill. Mileage allowance, travel time, and a company phone are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold an Australian Driver’s Licence and own a comprehensively insured car.
• Experience delivering personal care in aged care, disability, or hospital settings (min 12 months).
• Qualifications in Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to older Australians in their homes.
• Provide personal care including showering, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
• Assist with medications where applicable.
• Provide domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Offer social support and companionship to promote wellbeing.

About You

• Live in and can support our customers in either:
  • Inner East: Glen Iris, Burwood, Camberwell, Balwyn and surrounding areas
  • Outter East: Croydon, Kilsyth, Mooroolbark and surrounding area
• Hold an Australian Driver’s Licence and own comprehensively insured car (no international licence/shared vehicles)
• Minimum 12 months of experience delivering personal care in aged care, disability, or hospital environment and/or completed a qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours per day within the hours of 8am – 6pm, ideally across 3–4 weekdays (some weekend rosters available)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start
• Passionate about working in in-home care, with a focus on aged care

What We Offer

• $36.42 - $36.59 p/h + super
• Paid travel time + $1.33/km allowance + company phone
• Permanent part-time contracts: 30 – 50 hours per fortnight
• Stable hours with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts

Your Role
